The new Surprise City Hall is open and the four-story 134,000 square foot north building housing the city staff and council chambers is beautiful. Right next to this building to the south is the one-story 26
,000 square foot facility that is home to Rio Salado Colleges' Communiversity. Rio Salado offers two and four year degrees.
This complex is quite a contrast to the old dilapedated facility utilized for so many years on Bell Road. I can only describe the new facility in one word - WOW! The buldings feature natural stone elements that tie in Surprise's western backdrop - the White Tank Mountains. There is an all-seasons garden, just south of the parking garage, which features a variety of plants that will offer virant color and texture to the complex all year long.
Come visit this new complex located at 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza just east of the Surprise Recreation Ball Fields - Spring Training home to the Texas Ranager and the Kansas City Royals.
