Prayer Request for my Grand Daughter. (Part 2)

After about an hour or so on the road, I recieved a phone call. "Go back Home." WHY!!! The Surgery was reschedualed for Early Monday morning.

This is where things stand. Corrina has 'Aortopulmanary Window'. This is a heart defect that affects about 1 in 1.6 million infants. It has something to do with a heat valve not working properly.

When she was born, there was a mummer detected. The Dr. said not to worry as over 1/2 go away and most others are not serious. Her 2 week checkup showed no signs. Todays checkup the Murmmer was back.

After going back to the hospital to the heart specialist, he determined that although extremely serious, it was not an emergency. She is doing well at the moment and very strong. A couple of days wait will allow for better planning and more extensive studing of her problem.

So I thank all those who sent prayers earlier, and I ask for some continual support.

Corrina is my Step-Grandchild...but as far as I am concerned she is all mine!

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers, William. I only wish good things for your granddaughter.

William- step shemt... I love my husband's boys just as much as if they were my own so I know what you mean. I will certainly pray for your granddaughter. A LOT on Monday. And I hope it will ease your mind to know I have a cousin who was born with this and had successful surgery and he's a happy healthy 22 year old now. But I will be thinking about Corrina and praying for her and her team of surgeons and nurses. God Bless and may you have God's comfort through this weekend that I am sure will take a LONG time.

William you got our prayers here in Michigan. May the surgery go well on Monday.

Oh gosh, of course Corrina will be in my prayers tonight, thank you for sharing this. It's rough when they are so small, especially infants like her. My own granddaughter has been an oncology patient for over 2 years, and it impacts everyone in the family.

They do so much these days it is amazing.. I will keep your Corrina in my thoughts and prayers... keep us informed and we will wait for the good news ...

William, thank you for the update. I will keep saying prayers for Corrina and her family and for you and your family and especially on Monday so that the skilled hands of the doctor will perform a successful surgery and your granddaughter will be on her way for a quick recovery.

The good news is that they can do miracles these days ... my little miracle baby is now 31 years old! Keep praying and we'll do the same!

Thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes. We are just in a short holing patern for now. Kind of numb, but keeping the hours passing.

Sometimes it's even worse to have to wait. Glad to hear that she is strong and doing well now. Keep us posted on her condition my friend.

I will be thinking about your family. I was born with a heart murmur, grew up with it, gave birth to 2 kids. I hope they do a really good research. Keep us posted.

Bill, I will keep your grand daughter and your family in my prayer, and I hope she will be doing well. It just hurts to hear a new born baby has to go through this.

UPDATE!!! Talking with My Step-son, the extra time has given the Dr.s a chance to plot out exactly what they are going to do and what team they are using to accomplish this feat. The Dr., a lady specialist, has done 4 of these already. (Which is good and bad) But, Corrina will be the youngest, but maybe the healthiest she has worked on.

That is absolutely great news, William. You and your family are still in my thoughts and prayers as are the doctors to have a steady hand and head to do what they need to do to make this work.
