Attention First time Home Buyers ! If you want to take advantage of the tax credit,please make up your minds.

There is still time to buy a home if you want to take advantage of the tax credit but things can go wrong if you wait too long and you may find that you are past the deadline. Here are some things to consider.

1 If you are going to buy new construction, there may be delays due to weather or permits. Make sure it will be ready in time.

2 You may buy a resale and sometimes there may be delay with obtaining the mortgage. They are taking longer these days.

3.You may have made an offer on a house and after the inspection you may not want to buy it and you will have to start looking for homes again.

Gita - You are right ! Not much time is left and any delays can push someone behind the deadline. The time to buy is now !

Christopher and Stephanie, Thank you. I was showing new homes the other day and the sales person said there is no guarantee the home will be ready in time though they have started work on it.
