New batch of ActiveRain enhancements

We just put up a new batch of enhancements to ActiveRain based off of your requests these past couple weeks.  These enhancements are a part of a continuous effort to improve your experience and provide you with more ways to find content.

New filter for blog posts:

Enhancement #1 is an additional filter for browsing blog posts that provides a new way to find posts by who wrote them.

You can now do things such as show only posts written by loan officers or choose to show only the posts targeted to real estate professionals of those bloggers to whom you have subscribed(a request from multiple members).  You can even browse through posts made by new members to ActiveRain.

Better featuring and sorting in groups:

1. Now we will have an archived list of past featured posts in groups.  The last five featured posts will remain at the top of the group.  The rest will be in a separate list.

2. This means there is no need to un-feature posts to clear up space, and you'll be able to check back for past featured group posts.

3. Posts in groups can now be filtered by several criteria besides last update.

Hopefully these updates help the members of ActiveRain, there are plenty more coming down the pipe...

Hi, I don't know where to go to ask this question, so I'm planting it here in hopes of finding an answer. I'm new to Activerain and have noticed under the statistics page "views" and "clicks" are listed.  I feel confidant that "clicks" records the number of people who actually go to my blog and read an entry. What, exactly, does the "view" record?

Thanks in advance for settling the nerves of a newbie.

Keep up the good work guys. Ya'll are awesome.

Thanks for the updates in both types of searches.

I'd still like to be able to sort these by Unread. Some days I don't have time to catch up on all, so leave some unread. Then in future days I have to go through all the Read to get to the Unread, and I know there are lots that get lost along the way.

Thanks for trying to keep on improving.  I'll check these things out and see how they work.

The last change to the way featured posts in groups are displayed... takes away one of the ways we were using this....

First is that the newbie group (and other groups) have a read me first post. It is not always at the top, due to other posts that are featured. Now with only 5 features showing on the first page it is even harder to find that 'read me first post'. Without the ability to set one or two at the top, we are left with the choice of either people not finding that or only featuring five posts at a time, so that the 'read me first' is visible.

Another thing is we liked to highlight and remove postings in the Newbie group. It was our way of making sure newer members got welcomed and seen.

I'm sorry to be such a critic, but I think with this change that only 5 posts will now be seen as features, then people will just go down and read the rest of the posts.
