Is it getting so busy in your area? Does it affect only the lower priced segment ogf the market, or it is across the board?

Karen, it's often said that things start on the west coast, then hit the east. We've been seeing a surge of homes sell over asking price for the last 4-5 months.

Here in Clark County, WA...our market has really picked up too. We are seeing multiple offers especially in the short sales and properties under $300,000. There are some fabulous deals on large sq. footage homes in Camas, Washougal, Vancouver, LaCenter, Ridgefield. Many are going for about $100. per sq ft.

Our Keller Williams Vancouver office has had its best three months sales in the last 3-4 years.

Great post. I totally agree.

Things are on fire here in parts of Los Angeles.

Especially in the $500,000 and below market.

So many buyers waiting for the market "bottom".

Don't they know that the market "bottom" lasts for only a nanosecond and then is on it's way up again???

It is not so much the million dollar homes and up, however, under a million, we are getting offers across the board.

I had heard that as well. Thank goodness! I have quite a few offers that I wrote in the last few days. Even closed a few short sales. :-)

They are getting up to 12 back up offers on some of these REO's. They aren't even on the market a day and there is a contract on them! Yeah!!

That's great! Yes the $500K and below market here is going well too!

We have some people in bidding wars over the REO's that are left here. People need to stop listening to the news...someone on FOX said this morning that we haven't hit bottom...I wonder what he "really" does for a living...If he was a Realtor(r) he would be singing a different tune. No pun intended!
