Good shot Debra! The chipmunks around here need to take a lesson from yours!  They scurry away the minute they see me coming! LOL

Debra - I was on highway 50 headed toward Lake Tahoe earlier this morning.  As I approached the lake, these little critters were running back and forth across the highway.  I was afraid I'd hit one of 'em. . .But I'm fairly certain they remained unscathed.  Cute picture:-)

Nice try little chipmunk, but not only did she see you, but she got some great photos of you, too!

Cute picture!  I got up this morning and saw one on the back of one of my patio chairs.  It was gone before I could get the camera.

Debra,

Nice little chipmunk. I don't know if we have them in Florida or not. :)

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!  This is actually a funny story.  My car was parked right near these rocks and when I got in the car I noticed the chipmunk.  So of course I got my camera out of the case right away thinking as I did so that the movement would scare the chipmunk away as any type of movement usually does.

Well it didn't obviously so I thought YAY! Dare I open the window to take the pic?  So I open the window and he/she still doesn't move so I think great-it is meant for my blog!  Well after I take the pics I start the car and it still doesn't move.  So I think wow it really thinks if it doesn't move I won't notice it!  So I start to back up and NOTHING!  So I pull closer to it and NOTHING.  So now I think-great, I am taking pictures of a dead chipmunk.  I get out of the car and walk toward it and NOTHING.  So now I am thinking....eeewwwwwwwwwww.   Just as I reach out to touch it-in the blink of an eye it was gone.  Whew...glad it didn't jump on me!  LOL

That's so funny.  I can only imagine creeping up on it and wondering if it is dead.  You are lucky it didn't jump on you!  It must have been pretty scared to stay that still!

How appropriate with your title. I'm watching an episode of Will & Grace where Karen and Jack remain motionless while eating a bowl of noodles hoping that Grace won't see them. Yea, right.

Hope you entered the ActiveRain "Nature & Marketing" contest.

I've been staring at the picture for 5 minutes and I have to say I haven't seen it move once, very impressive!
