I briefly caught a little dialogue with Buzz Aldrin second astronaut to walk on the moon with the 40th anniversary celebration of Apollo 11's accomplishment. It was
A Valuable Lesson In Winning With A Walk On The Moon.
The interviewer over and over said weren't you afraid of failing, the downside of what could have happened, even of not coming back? A lesson for all who want to be a winner came the response.
You need a "can do" attitude, be aware and alert of what could go wrong, go into manual control from automatic if necessary,
But above all, get the job done.
Being a winner it seems is MORE than just a positive attitude. Instead YOU KNOW you are going to do what you prepared for, what you trained for, what you WANT to do. You have visualized it. IT CAN BE DONE. You are right there and you will MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Buzz's other point is focus. Focus on EXACTLY WHAT you want to happen, not some fearful state of every disaster possibility that might occur. With that CAN DO attitude the winners of this world actually take a step out the door and what? Walk on the moon. Very impressive.
Be a can do person. It's what makes you a winner!
