Fund Raiser Idea ---

I am a strong supporter of Tommie Barifeld Elementary School here on Marco Island.  Last night was our big fund raiser Derby on the Bay at the Villa Venezia.  Probably the most stunning home here on Marco Island and is listed for $12,900,000.  I was happy to help out, although my feet are not really happy with me today....

Awhile back someone wanted ideas for a fund raiser - well let me tell you this was a hit!  Everyone dressed in their Derby best (I went for a 40's look others went with a more traditional look) there was a silent auction, a contest for best hat, and 6 races of 12 horses that people sponsored along with corporate sponsorship of each race.  Local dining venues did their part, providing us with all sorts of appetizers along with food that was prepared.  Several local students came and served food....  What a wonderful event!  We had a perfect evening here on Marco Island. 

 Well let me tell you all it was an incredible party with the early numbers that have broken all school fund raising efforts.  The agent who has it listed didn't lie that this place is great for entertaining!  Over 225 tickets were sold and everyone that came to this event had a wonderful time!  Pictured Above (We all had kicked off our shoes to help clean up this stunning home) are some of the many wonderful volunteers (me second from the left) at the end of the night.  I had a small part in the festivities, actually just day of, but there was a team of people that pulled this off!
