Many Chinese investors are coming to the US to buy up homes. The low real estate prices due to the down turn in the economy coupled with a growing population with rising incomes have made US homes a great investment. Many see that the homes value will appreciate and so see this as a long term investment. Buyers are hoping to rent the homes or use them for business trips, while some are buying for their children to use while going to school. Real estate companieshave set up tours for investors to come visit and see foreclosed homes, with over a hundred people visiting. US real estate had previously been only affordable to China's movie stars and the ultra-rich, but now the American dream of everyone owning a home is becoming the Chinese dream, except its taking place here, in the US.
