This past weekend the city of Omaha felt like a small town. Mutual of Omaha which is a name that many people throughout the county regard as synonymous with Omaha had its 100th birthday celebration and invited the entire city to the party which started Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and continued through Sunday.

Admission was free (paid for by Mutual of Omaha) to all activities including the Henry Doorly Zoo, Rosenblatt stadium, the Children's Museum, Durham Museum, Lauritizen Gardens, the Rose Theater and more.  There were free concerts at numerous locations, dancing, and swimming. Record crowds showed up at the zoo and Rosenblatt on Saturday alone with over 40,000 and 30,000 people respectively.

The entire city became a "friendly neighborhood" and enjoyed the festive occasion.  Thanks Mutual of Omaha!
