Thinking of Buying a North Santiam River Property? Consider This!
In my opinion there has never been a better time to purchase a home on the North Santiam River. Located in the Santiam Canyon, river homes have always been considered a desirable place to call home. The Santiam is home to some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing in the area and the river also boasts some nice trout. Rafters and kayakers also take advantage of the river navigating the Line Hole, Spencer's hole and Mill City Falls.
Price: Prices have dropped drastically to reflect the mood of the current economy. We have several homes to offer and prices have dropped up to 25% on some properties. Most of the properties have larger lots and are landscaped. Most are easy access, low river bank. Launching a boat, raft or kayak will be a breeze.
Inventory and Availability: As of today we have 9 river properties, each remarkable and unique. There is something to fit most budgets. Just to mention a few, we have three 2 acre building sites, a fully furnished, 2 bedroom, A-Frame Cabin and to almost a mile of riverfront on 80 acres with a home that is "off the power grid." There are 9 other river listings available in the Willamette Valley Multiple Listing Service from Gates to Lyons. These homes are in great locations and are on varying lots sizes and acreages.
Relaxation and piece of mind: For most folks the sound of water is relaxing. There are many variety of water fowl and other birds that inhabit the area so don't be surprised to see ducks, Canadian Geese, Blue Herons, Hawks or an Osprey. Deer and other critters seem to migrate to the waters edge as well. You will also enjoy entertaining friends and family at your new river house. There is always something moving on the water and something new to look at or hear.
So if you have ever considered a home on the river, now is the time to buy, prices are great and inventory is high. I don't think you will ever see choices like this for many years to come.
