Wow. Ornate pool. I have never stayed at Caesar's.
Hope you had a good time despite the heat!
Ken
Howdy there Shirley
That there sure enough, one really fancy swimming hole, that Caesar's Palace has.
I knew it was Caesar's...could not have been anyplace other than!
I do like those little empty (perfect, quiet place) in the front of the photo cabanas....I'll reserve one!
Hi Sheila, Those private little cabanas had a security guard stationed at the entrance. They caught my eye, too.
Hi Ken, We had a very good time and most of it was spent inside. The Bellagio buffet was excellent.
Shirley - I love the photo and do you want to know why? The window at the convention center where you took this photograph was installed by a crew I was working with at Caesars, in fact all the windows were! I use to catch some of the men peeking at the girls at the pool on the far left because it is a topless pool, them little rascals.
Your post has been featured at the group ............... HAPPY AT ACTIVERAIN
And not because of the topless pool!
Vegas Bob
Shirley, this is just gorgeous. Of course it has to be Vegas. Last I was there it was 107, and we got in the pool right away -- not at Caesars - we stayed downtown at the Golden Nugget - I loved it there!
Hey Shirley! What a fun shot! I could use a few days in a palace.....LOL
Debi
Shirley: Sure doesn't look like any swimming hole in our neck of the woods. I can still remember swinging from a rope at Stinky Falls when I was a kid. We always had a contest to see who could make the biggest splash.
At first lookI suspected it was from Las Vegas and after reading some of the posts it was confirmed. The irony is that the model for the pool area was actually some of the ruins found in Rome of some of the early Roman baths. They were quite advanced.
Shirley - that's an amazing property. WE've truly become spoiled haven't we?
Hi April, Spoiled, yes, but decadent may be a better word! LOL
HI Ed, The Romans had running water and a cooling system... they were quite amazing.
Hi C&C, Some swimming hole, huh?
Hi Mary, My husband says that next time we will stay at a hotel off the strip.
Wow, Vegas Bob, topless? I didn't see any topless people except for men... LOL
Like they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words. I can't think of that many words right now, so I'll just say the pic makes me feel cooler on a hot day like today. Thanks for the image.
Hi Jimmy, We San Antonians need something to make us feel cool... but it was even hotter where this picture was taken! LOL
I went to Caesar's Palace a couple of years ago. I hadn't been there in about 20 years, but I think they destroyed the ambiance when they expanded it. I think they are the only hotel that actually did an expansion. Everyone else simply blows it up and then builds something new.
Shirley - If I ever got into that pool, I'd NEVER want to leave! I swim a couple of hours several times a week, but the pool at my health center is no where as lavish as that one.
Actually Jim, I was very surprised to see how much LV has changed since I was there many years ago. I liked the old LV better.
Hi Myrl, Swimming is good exercise and going twice a week is a great health benefit. I thought it was too hot to even be at the pool while we were there but obviously a lot of other people didn't think so!
Hi Shirley, Looks like an amazing pool and what better way to spend the day. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time. Nice post.
