I have been procrastinating for a while now and I really think I am missing the boat on what seems to be the latest form of technology - the video walkthru/virtual tours. For about two years now I really wanted to get into the video blogging/virtual tour scene and I think its one of those things were it seems like a lot to learn however it really may not be too difficult at all.

My intentions in using this would be in my blogs (about different neighborhood conditions, new listings, etc.) as well as walk thru on houses with a narration of each property. I think agents are already doing so & really I need a startup package to get myself going. I would think to get started you would need a camcorder and a you tube account, but I would really appreciate any experiences from anyone as to what works best & what tips they might have (or perhaps a link to a sample of their work)....Thanks in advance!

Business seems to go to the company or person who makes it most convinient to buy a product or service.  Virtual home tours, in my mind, are the way to go and a great way to eliminate undesired properties without spending the time and gas money to see the property first hand.

Go for it.

Don't feel bad, I'm always the last on board too... I'm just learning how to use my cellphone. LOL

Michael, I've been doing community tours just by taking photos with my digital camera, adding text to them and uploading to slide.com. You can check out my blog for my most recent slide tours. It's really easy to do and FREE.  For my listings, I also just take digital photos, upload to my Point2 Agent website and a Virtual Tour is created. You don't even need a camcorder.
