Does anyone recognize this famous photograph?
Hint: The historic photograph was taken in France in 1826. It is the cornerstone of the Photography Collection at The University of Texas at Austin. Because of its uniqueness and its significance to the fine arts and humanities, it is among the world's and The University's rarest treasures.

Very smart, Sheldon. (unless you researched it... LOL) I just learned about this photo today at a networking event I attended. An excellent photographer gave an interesting presentation about photography.

I do not have an answer either, but Debra could be onto something when she mentioned Waterloo, as that was the first name of Austin.
Shirley - I am thinking that I have it, nothing to do with Napolean, Waterloo, etc.
An interesting fact that I was and am clueless on. I was so into photography and had my own darkroom that you'd think that I'd be smart enough. Oh well.
As some of you may have known (Sheldon, Mike) this photo is the world's first photograph taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. The exposure time was 8 hours!
