If you ever think it's not going to happen be patient. You just never know when you will receive a treat such as this. Although I have been very busy with real estate, family, two new puppies (need I say more?), and have not posted in way too long, out of the blue came that welcomed request.

Within days the prospective buyers came down and fell in love with Lake Anna. Smart, discerning folks!

Today, less than two weeks later, my clients have a contract on a home that in the words of the wife "spoke to her". When I heard her share that sentiment with her husband I felt wonderful. This is precisely why, at this time of my live and in spite of my living in my "retirement" home, I am still involved in real estate. When you have the ability to help someone else achieve a long time desire which you share you cannot walk away very easily. At least this is what I have found.

Since my youth I have longed to live by the water, the closer the better. It did not matter whether it was on a lake, river, or ocean. It took many years for that to happen (and a certain wonderful man who happened to have a waterfront lot as part of his dowry) but it did. Whenever I can help someone else achieve their goal to live near the water I am more than happy to do so.

Thank you Active Rain for making it possible for me to help one more family in the quest for their very own spot at Lake Anna.

Hi Kate - It's true. I've gotten several clients via contact messages sent through Active Rain. It is a particularly good source of clients from out of the area, who find us through AR, read our writings, and decide that they might like to work with us based on what they learn about us here. My first AR clients live in Missouri and had to sell their sister's house in Fair Oaks following her death. They knew no one n the area and picked me from other Fair Oaks Realtors because of my blog.

Way to go, Kate. I've met alot of fantastic people through my contact form as well. I'm glad you had such success in the Rain.

I grew up looking out at the Pacific Ocean every day and I miss the sparkling blue water and the sound of the waves at night.....maybe someday I'll get back there!
