Herb it does resemble Paisley - you know I am old enough that when I played sports in high-school we actually played against Paisley - those kids are now bussed to North Lake County between Christmas Valley and Ft. Rock - at least these kids have a great town of Spring, TX and they are so close to Huston.

Paula, me too, I live in a small town and Spring actually looks like a place I need to visit.  It would be fun to meet Marchel face to face, maybe next spring.

I grew up outside of Houston and it is great to live in small town like Spring TX but be convenient to a big city. I love that photo of "Old Town Spring Post Office".

Ashley; I did not realize you grew up there - I love the Bluebonnets and the lightening bugs - had never seen them until I visited TX for the first time 3 years ago.

Missy the State of Texas actually plants the Bluebonnets they bloom every spring and there are times when you drive down the highway and the side of the road will look like a blanket of those beautiful flowers.   My family always likes to have me visit while they are blooming - but I find the lightening bugs so much more interesting... since we do not have lightening bugs here the amaze me.

My first spring in Texas everyone kept mentioning going up to this old cemetery for the bluebonnets.  I was clueless and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.  Then I saw the most amazing field of vibrant blue.  Truly breathtaking.  Now I take my daughter every year for bluebonnet photos.  Kind of like the tradition of Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC.

Thanks for the nice post.  We have lived here for the last 10 years and love it.  I had no idea it was such a pretty area before we moved here.  I guess I didn't realize that Texas could have so many trees and such pretty foliage.

I have to agree it wouldn't be Texas without some Bluebonnets and since it is Texas there are TONS of bluebonnets.  My mother was born in Abilene and misses her bluebonnets.

Tina; I have family in Mesquite and the Mabank area - so the drive between is great during the blooming of the Bluebonnets - I think they are beautiful - but the lightening bugs amaze me even more :o)

Wayne, she provides a lot of great information about the area, one of the things I enjoyed the most about her website was talking about Old Spring, being a history buff and a shopaholic I think Spring could be a great place for me to take a little vacation to.  It appears to be one of the greenest places I have seen photos of in Texas.

Thesa I will have to see if I can get her some. She is in a gardening club so I would think she could get some help adapting them to the desert climate. I have never seen any around here but it would be nice they are so pretty.

Thesa,

You really did a good job of showcasing Marchel and her website on Spring Texas Real Estate.  I never thought about it, but I don't guess we had lightning bugs in California when I was a kid.  My daughter loves to catch them during the summer.

This is an excellent post about Spring TX and Marchel, the excellent real estate agent who resides there.  My cousins live in Texas (though in Austin), I have friends in Houston, San Antonio, and Jefferson...practically spread out over the entire state.  I'll have to go visit and make sure Sring is one of my stops!  I'll need a month just for Texas!!! LOL
