TeaLicious Tea, Gift Baskets, Jewelry and did I mention Wallpaper!?! all in Delray Beach, Florida, in Palm Beach County. Admittedly, this totally inviting Tea Room just a stone's throw from Boca Raton, was a new find for me. It was on the infamous "Places to Try" list that I had. So when the opportunity came for me to visit TeaLicious I couldn't wait. Maryann Matesic, has been a business owner in Delray Beach for more than 20 years, with an interior design showroom offering selections for wall paper and window coverings.
"I had customers who would spend time looking through wallpaper books, and asking me for coffee or something to drink. They would also ask where they could go for a nice lunch." And, Palm Beach County can also be rough on retailers because of "snow birds", ie. those who head north for the summer. Maryann saw a need and decided to fill it. We're not talking about buying an upscale Automatic coffee machine. No, Maryann adapted the extra room she had and, after much planning she designed the perfect setting for a European Tea Room .
Maryann's customers can dine on freshly made quiche, salads with an extra flair, veggie wraps, soup of the day and, of course, teas from all over the world, and home made crepes, scones, brownies and cookies. It's the perfect setting for wedding showers, fundraisers, little princess parties, and women's groups!
But, that's not all! Customers should be prepared to spend time shopping for one-of-a kind gfit baskets wrapped in unique paper, ribbons and antique buttons. There are purses, jewelry, home accessories, and oh, did I mention, wallpaper and window furnishings! No space is left "Un-Staged".
