I can surely identify with this quote.  When I have done everything I know to do and then do more I feel great.  When I didn't do as much as I could have, the same satisfaction is not there...

That is a good thought. Sometimes, even if things do not turn out quite as expected, knowing you did your best is as good as it gets.

You always say it right Lou Ludwig.  We sometimes Japanese TV (with subtitles in English) and often in dramas or other shows, the boss or leader's most often quote is "DO YOUR BEST!" then they bow and smile.
