Motivational Power Quote

Choose the Direction for Your Life

"All men should try to learn

before they die,

what they are running from and to,

and why."

James "Thunder" Jones

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Choose the direction for your life.

Learn what you want from your life and go after it.

You're either move towards what you want or you're moving away from it.

Both directions affect your success and your life, moving towards what you want brings you success, achievement and fulfillment. Moving you away from what you want clauses us stress and dissatisfaction with ourselves and those who are around us.

It's important to know what we are running from, put it in perspective, face it and reframe it. Determine why you have been running from it and how to change it. When you do you may realize that what you been running from can removed from your life or theirs a way to overcome it.

Understand what you been running to, if it's what you want continue to go after it with a purpose or adjust it to fit your vision.

Hi Lou:

When I read the quote I thought about the word "direction"...

Your interpretation is right on....

Have a great weekend!

Lou, was it Socrates that said: The unexamined life is not worth living?"

For me I know I am either moving (not always running) towards greater health, sobriety and serenity or away from it.

Lou this is very positive, and so are your comments.  Facing fears and achievements are not usually thought of as partners in life, but they are.  Success is often based on confronting our fears and working through them.

Great quote!  I love starting my day in the right frame of mind!  Maybe I should come back 2 or 3 times some days!!

Thanks Lou.  Your quote of the day touched me in a profound way.  I think I have been stressing a lot because I don't have a direction...and if I do, I must be moving towards the wrong direction.  Thanks.

Thanks for the post Lou!  It's very correct - learn what you want in life and go for it!

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

I think we all experience in our lives that gravitational pull between what we want in our lives and what we are trying to avoid.  Pain and pleasure.

Lou,

Thank you. We are being called one way or the other, and we must choose our direction. :)
