Organic Food is No Better for you than Chemically Farmed Food

Organic food is no better for you than chemically farmed food...really? Check out the results of a recent British study that somehow concludes that farming practices that rely heavily on pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers are somehow just as healthy as organic farms that rely on centuries old farming practices.

The results of the study take into account the differences in nutritional content between organic and non-organic food. Granted- some organic proponents have long argued there are more vitamins and minerals in organic food. But the real health advantages of organic food has more to do with the chemicals left over from the farming practices. Why did the study not take this into account? Surely the advantage is obvious? Does anyone really believe that organic food is no better for you than chemically farmed food?

Just found this group.  You gotta hand it to the "agribusiness" folks.  They are constantly trying to prove they are right and long practice is wrong.  It's interesting to me that chemical farming is called conventional and organic is something new!  When I was a kid (late 40s, early 50s) working for my grandfather on his vegetable farm, we were farming organically (wasn't called that but the chemical [oil] companies hadn't yet convinced everyone of the need for their products).
