Columbia, SC Wine Stores - Corked

Looking for somewhere different to hang out or just somewhere to get a great bottle of wine, then stop in Corked in the Village at Sandhill. Nestled in amongst the hustle and bustle of the busy sidewalks of Northeast Columbia's premiere shopping experience, this is my favorite places to hang out with friends.

Corked has a friendly and helpful staff that will be more than happy to assist you in all your needs. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran in the wine field, you are sure to enjoy this fantastic and charming, little shop. With a great atmosphere, it's a wonderful wine store where you can actually sit down and carry on a conversation.

If you don't want an entire bottle of wine, then that's no problem, Corked also sells wine by the glass. Currently while the promotion runs, they also have a stimulus package where you can buy 6 bottles of wine for $60. With anything for sweet desert type wines to dark, dry reds, Corked has everything to fit your needs at a modest price.

And in case wine is not your thing, Corked also carries a large rotating stock of high gravity beer. These potent concoctions are not like the kind you get from the local gas station, these are true high gravity beers from macro breweries across the country and imported from across the world. So whether you're looking for a retail store that sells wines and specialty beer, or you're just looking for new place to hang out, I suggest you make your way down to the Village at Sandhill and visit Corked.

Corked is locally owned and operated by Kevin Nieman and is located at 661-3 Promenade Place in the Village at Sandhill near the Belk. The store hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Corked hosts a wine tasting every Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday they have a leftover tasting starting around 3 p.m. as long as supplies last. So stop by any night and enjoy a glass of wine or beer and take some to go.

JL - I love the look of your blog!  To think that there used to be beer.  Then we added Lite beer, now there is "gravity" beer.  Lots of choices!

April- I think that I have found that the high gravity beer causes gravity to really take affect though. That's some powerful stuff.

JL -- really like this post --- I will have to visit this store next time we are in Columbia. Your post made me realize that I forgot to put the actual address of my business in my post.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now you have found my soft spot.  This sounds like a wonderful place to find closing gifts or grape juice for all tastes.

JL - so you are saying it's quite strong stuff?  Do you like the heavy German beers?  Those are popular in these parts.
