City Scene is a large condominium complex at the western section of Mission Valley in San Diego, California.City Scene is up on the northern bluffs overlooking Mission Valley, so many of its units have amazing views of Mission Valley -- Qualcomm Stadium (home of the San Diego Chargers) to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and everything in between.
Within minutes of City Scene is downtown San Diego, including Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres; historic Old Town San Diego; world-class beaches, shopping, and food; the University of San Diego, and everything else that the Mission Valley lifestyle has to offer.
City Scene is a few blocks away from Hazard Center and Fashion Valley, as well as the San Diego Trolley stations at those two malls. You can easily get to Sea World, Fiesta Island, and much of Mission Bay by car or bike, or a long walk, and it's also easy to go biking, skateboarding, or walking on the many paths along the San Diego River. If you're a golfer, you'll enjoy its close proximity to both the Riverwalk Golf Course and the Tecolote Canyon Golf Course.
City Scene is #15 on the Mission Valley map below. For information on the other complexes in Mission Valley, click on the map to go to my web site and then click on the same map there.
City Scene was built in 1989 and has 344 units ranging from 1,046 to 1,271 square feet and floor plans of two bedrooms and two bathrooms or three bedrooms and two bathrooms. To the best of my knowledge, all of the units have in-unit laundry hookups.
HOA fees are $235-$290 per month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building maintenance (including roof), water (including hot water), limited insurance, termite control, sewer, and trash pickup.
Along with its great location in central San Diego, amenities at City Scene include swimming pool, spa, outdoor grills, picnic areas, tennis courts, and fitness center.
As of July 31, 2009, in City Scene, there was one unit for sale, a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit of 1,046 square feet listed at $279,900, and one unit in pending status, a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit of 1,046 feet listed at $330,000.
While there usually is some good sales activity in City Scene, and there has been in 2009, City Scene is one of the most desirable condominium complexes in Mission Valley because of the views. Units that come on the market don't last long.
Sales for prior years:

Hey, Betina - I sure wish I had some homes listed for sale in City Scene. Unfortunately, I know of at least one Realtor who has been working City Scene for several years, so I have some catching up to do. That doesn't mean that I can't catch up, though, so he better keep on eye in that rear view mirror.
Hey, Russel - Yes, I did. I finally got tired of all the controls and just put it on full programming since I had some other things to do, too, like write that offer I told you about. I'm going to be in Mission Valley on Thursday, too, taking some more pictures and possibly writing another offer.
