I have looked at the listings and the market lately and it is clear that if you are serious about purchasing a  Sanibel home or  in Captiva, again I will say it clearly: its the time! Remember that these homes are bough for over 60 cents or less  on the dollar compare to 2005-2006, granted they were inflated in these days, but the deals are here to be taken.Signs show that the asking prices are slowly stabilizing. 

Captiva , still has a few very exciting deals starting at $280,000 up to under $700,000. Captiva homes from $325K and up 

The one at an asking price of $325, 000, at 190 White Pelican dr,Captiva   even though a cottage of 876 square feet got my attention. It offers much more then I first thought. Great possibilities to expand or just enjoy it as an island retreat or your own home!

Its located a short walk to the beach in North Captiva which you can reach only by boat.They do have “boat taxis” available form Sanibel.

The total square footage is over 2,000 with a large deck and well designed pilings Sanibel home. I am sure one could make it bigger pretty easily if need be. Either way its a great deal.
