Seriously!! My well dries up when I don't blog!! Just think about this one! If you didn't speak for a week or two or three, wouldn't you run out of thought? Words? Wow!!!
I've been enjoying the Show Low (mountain) weather, escaping into the beautiful 6500 elevation complete with pine trees, afternoon rain showers, spending time hanging out with my husband, playing golf, reading, and LEARNING to knit!!! Yep, that's what I just said, KNIT!!!
For those who don't know, I have more than one dimension. I like to cook, to make bread from scratch, read, crochet, play card games, teach, dance, golf, BLOG, and now knitting! Does that mean I'm getting old 'cause I like to knit? (Oh, yeah, and I like working in real estate!)
Since my well has almost dried up, I thought I would test my vocabulary of words, of sentences, and stop by to let you ALL know I've not forgotten you at all.....just took a little (I hope) break away from blogging. I've promised myself to be better at sharing information and posting blogs on Active Rain! You see? After 3+ years, I've gotten to know so many of you that I miss knowing about what you're sharing, and what you're doing - so now, I'm committed...yes siree!!!
Just remember, your well can dry up, and maybe can never fill up with those blogging waters again. Trust me!! I know!!!
Seems to me that blogging is like any other activity that we want to incorporate into our daily work routine. Do it until is't a reflex and then you won't even have to think about it, you'll just do it.
Teri: Question ? As you begin to learn more and more about knitting, and perhaps even learn a few knitting jokes... does that make you a "knit wit ?" I was just wondering.
And yes... backing away from blogging can make it much harder to return. Ya kinda get out of practice, and then when you return... it may seem a little "foreign" to you. Nice to see you !
Great to see you bac Teri! I had taken a break a few months back and it was VERY hard to get back into it and like you I experienced less activitiy! I crochet and I certainly dont think i am old!!
Welcome back, Teri. Love the new pic. Sounds like a break was in order.
BTW I was in your neck of the woods last week - 1 day in Sedona and 2 days in Scottsdale for our anniversary. Man you get some hot weather. I actually went 3 days without checking AR - a ecord for me in teh last couple of years I think.
Leolinda, aren't the mountains wonderful - during the summer months? I'm down in the valley again though, and am enjoying the comforts of home ;-)
Lynn, and you know of what you speak. You've been consistent with your posts....BUT if one takes a small break, it can turn into a large one...;-)
Karen, that's funny. Thanks for dropping by with that cute play on words. ;-)
Leesa, it is hard to take a break - 'cause it's one of those things that takes true discipline! I LOVE to crochet, and knitting will soon be my second favorite - and you're definitely not old. ;-)
Lori, it just takes up a lot of my time...it's amazing how much more I have gotten done when I don't blog as much. ;-)
Jeff, why thank you sir!!! Yep, needed the break. Now to get back into the swing of blogging. I saw that you were in Sedona!! Yes, it is beautiful, but Arizona can be HOT. Can't imagine what a change that was for someone coming from the California beach country. ;-)
Carol, blogging is definitely a good idea. Keep pushing....
Marchel, thank you, and I thought maybe no one would notice, but so many have. I have my real estate photo taken about every two years.
Bill, thank you too......yep, hard life, huh? I like going as much as I can....love the time away. ;-)
Janna, you know? it was on my list too, and I happened to meet someone who was offering to teach anyone how to knit. She is a fabulous knitter and loves to teach it. I took her up on it. Don't know if I'll share my first "work of art" though....kinda sorta looks like a beginner project, but I am enjoying getting the hang of it. I'm knitting a cotton dishrag, which I will definitely use. ;-)
If you talk to most great writers who finish a book and then take a six month break before starting the next book have a very hard time getting back behind the keyboard. Some songwriters, have the same problem when they go on tour and don't create new stuff. (There are a lot of one hit wonders because of this)
A classy "almost native Arizonan" Realtor with a great sense of humor, a keen ear, and a desire to assist the seller or buyer in order to bring confidence and peace to their transaction. A great knowledge of new homes and new home builders as well as a plethora of driving skills!! ;-)

Hi Teri ~ I think knitting is cool again (was it ever cool before? I'm not sure) so no need to worry!
