 Marsh Walks

"Why does this place smell so funny?" "What made those tracks in the mud?" "What good is all this muddy mess anyway?"

Get the answers during a rare visit to the unique tidal salt marsh environment.

Wear clothes that can get muddy and lace-up shoes that will not come off in the sticky mud; or wear hip or chest waders if you have them.

Call (302) 227-6991 for directions to the meeting site. Free Program

Hi Diane...that's one of the ways we can tell if someone's from the Jersey Shore.  We know the smell of the bay and wetlands when the tides out!

Hehe, I've smelt Jorsey when I travelled back & forth to the Island & to where I grew up in CT, ewwhh. And also that area near Secaucus between i-95 & where our hotel was, I went in for a geocache & really wished I hadnt. The view was ahh interesting but the smell, I think there was a dead bo.. animal in there <wink & a snicker>

But nothing compares to Lewes Marsh at low tide on a hot august day! Oh my gawd!

But worst part is I may go do this with my niece, so whos dumber? I think its me for wanting to willing go, or it might be her being smarter for wanting to become a ecologist or something. heheh
