The Amish Market in St. Mary's County is the North St. Mary's County Farmers Market and  is located at the corner of route 5S and route 6 in the parking lot of the Charlotte Hall Library. The market is one way the Amish sell  their produce, flowers, baked and canned goods. The market contributs  their success of the states Buy Local campaign. In season on an average Saturday the Amish Market ususally has about 500 visitors. The market has approximately 17 vendors. the Amish live in Charlotte Hall, Loveville and Mechanicsville and are a valued part of the economy.

 Visit the local market any Saturday. you will find wonderful produce and flowers, it's also a great way to spend a Saturday

Thanks for posting the information about the Amish Market in Southern Maryland.  We will have to go one Saturday and check it out.  We have never been there.  Thank you for sharing!

So glad to find your site.   I live in Fredericksburg, VA and have heard (through local plant sales) that there are several Amish nurseries in Southern Maryland.  The ladies of a church in King George, VA had told me of their Ladies Group getting together and caravanning to Southern Maryland and visiting several of these farms in a day trip.   I would love to plan one of these trips myself.   Could you help me find some of these farms/nurseries?  I really don't know how to go about this, other than asking someone from the area...and that seems to be you.   I would greatly appreciate your help.  Thank you!
