The Obama administration will suspend the "cash for clunkers" program unless the Senate provides $2 billion more for the popular car incentive plan, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Sunday.

He said he expects the current $1 billion pool to be exhausted by the end of this weekend. The House approved an additional $2 billion on Friday and the administration is pressing the Senate to go along before its summer vacation begins at week's end.

"If we don't get the $2 billion from the Senate ... we would have to suspend the program next week," LaHood said in an interview with C-SPAN's "Newsmakers" show.

 

Date: August 3rd, 2013- The Obama administration will suspend the "HEALTH CARE" program unless the Senate provides $2 Trillion more for the health care plan, Health Care Secretary, Bevios said Sunday.

He said he expects the current $3 trillion pool to be exhausted by the end of this weekend. The House approved an additional $2 trillion on Friday and the administration is pressing the Senate to go along before its summer vacation begins at week's end.

"If we don't get the $2 trillion from the Senate ... we would have to suspend the program next week," Bevious said in an interview with DNC television.

My prediction: About a year or 18 months from now, there will be a large number of car owners unable to make their car payment. They traded in their clunkers which they owed very little, or nothing on, and cashed in on the government program buying a more expensive car they can't afford. The Libs will then talk about the evil, predatory lenders, that took advantage of these poor innocent consumers, and how do we bail them out? Sound familiar?
