Only one week remains for East Carolina fans to purchase football season tickets for the 2009 campaign, and with less than 800 available, the Pirates are again nearing the opportunity to play in front of full-capacity crowds at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium this fall.

The ECU Athletics Ticket Office will continue to sell all season ticket packages until a 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 7 deadline. Earlier this summer, ECU announced that there are no individual tickets available for the Pirates' season opener against Appalachian State Sept. 5 and now likely face a similar situation for the Virginia Tech contest Nov. 5.
In addition to the matchups with the Mountaineers and Hokies, popular designated games against UCF (Family Weekend) and Rice (Homecoming) will also be anticipated sell-outs which would require a season ticket as the only guaranteed means of admission.
