PURCELLVILLE VA, HAIR SALON and BOUTIQUE, STUDIO 609.  Local Business in Purcellville, Virginia

Purcellville hair dressers, Purcellville beauty shops, Purcellville hair salons, Purcellville hair stylists

Purcellville is a small town by almost any measure.  However, with a population of about 3,600 and an average household income of about $90,000 for families with children, locating businesses in Purcellville makes a lot of sense.  The closest town is Leesburg, seat of government for Loudoun County, which is about 8 miles east.  Purcellville is also a convenient location for shoppers living in Round Hill, Lovettsville, and Hamilton, all Western Loudoun County towns.  Western Loudoun County is still wonderfully rural, but residents love the conveniences found in our nearest commercial areas.

WELCOME TO STUDIO 609 SALON & BOUTIQUE.

Meet Holly, the lovely experienced stylist who gave me a "style and dry" this morning.  I've been looking a tad shaggy of late.  I like a hair style that will let me keep it simple.  "Shampoo and shake" is my style and decided it was time to let a pro give me a proper hair cut.  I was very pleased at my selection of Studio 609 Salon & Boutiquein Purcellville, Virginia.  Holly gave me the casual easy care style cut I wanted.

Hi Lenn,

I would die if I didn't have my hair stylist. I have been using her for the last 10 years, and if she disappeared, I would be heartbroken. This hair salon looks like THE place to get your hair done. :)

Hair salons are so important to a community. Once a lady find a hair dresser she likes, she will not leave. She might leave her husband, but she wont her hair dresser. LOL.

Lisa.  This is a new advernture for me. I've been snipping my own hair for too many years.  I thought I'd have an adventure and it was a blast.

Margaret.  My hair has a lot of curl.  Look at the first photo.  Holly is "shaking" it now.

Loreena.  That is so funny, and so true.

Lenn,

$90K annual income for a family is a terrific figure. We do not have anything close to that here, but then, we mostly have service industry, and they are notoriously at the bottom in terms of pay scale.

Should be a good are to sell real estate

Hi Lenn, Glad you took time to pamper yourself.  I don't go as often as I should, but it's always a treat! I like that "shaken" look :-)

Yes, but are the haircuts $6.09...or what?   Maybe the shampoo.  A rinse?

Jon.  Indeed.  The income in my area is helpful.  Of course, the home prices remain accordingly high.

Barbara.  Yep!  The cut by a skilled stylist, rather than my usual snip-snip did the job.

Gerry.  Welcome.  Come back soon.

Mary.  I can't recall the last time I has a professional cut.  I should have done it a lot sooner.  My hair is curly so I've just cut into the curl and let it go, but this series of Localism posts inspired me to get more personally involved with local businesses.  I'm putting myself right in the midst of all of these articles.

Jim.  Can anyone find even a barber that charges $6.09 these days?

Lenn - I was getting my cut Saturday and thought about featuring Lorrie - now I wish I would have.  Love the new look she gave you - Studio 609 is lucky to have YOU as a customer!

Betina.  There is a Google map included too.

This is a popular little strip mall with an Itilian carry out, a PNC bank, a real estate office, a Bloom grocery store, a Chinese restaurant, a CVS, a FedEx shop, a saddlery, and Salon 609.

Diane.  Indeed, 28 years in business is recommendation enough.  The competition from the Hair Cuttery", et. al. is tremendous.

Lenn - lovely picture of you :)  I drive almost 30 min across town to get to my hair stylist for the past 10 years. Great localism blog - helping your stylist get some additional exposure.

I usually don't want to take the time to go to the hair salon, so out comes the scissors. Have been doing that for myself, kids, grandkids, etc.  for so long.

Every once in a while I'll make an appointment.  I'll tell myself that I'm going to keep going in, but then I don't.

I do love the "shampoo and shake".  You can do that with your curls.

Judi.  I haven't used the services of hair dressers for many, many years.  With curly hair and casual hair styles, I just did it myself with a snip here and a snip there.

This time I got inspired to actually see what they could do with my mop and I was very pleasantly surprised.
