Hye Park is a condominium complex at the northern edge of Mission Valley in San Diego, California. It is a quiet complex nestled into the hillside on Mission Center Road.
Hye Park's location in the central section of Mission Valley provides quick and easy access to Qualcomm Stadium, home of the San Diego Chargers; downtown San Diego, including Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, and historic Old Town San Diego; world-class beaches, shopping, and food; the University of San Diego, and everything else that the Mission Valley lifestyle has to offer.
Hye Park is a short distance from shopping at Hazard Center, Fashion Valley Mall, Mission Valley Center, Rio Vista, and Fenton Parkway, as well as several San Diego Trolley stations.
You can easily get to Sea World, Fiesta Island, and much of Mission Bay, and it's also easy to go biking, skateboarding, or walking on the many paths along the San Diego River. If you're a golfer, you'll enjoy its close proximity to both the Riverwalk Golf Course and the Tecolote Canyon Golf Course.
Hye Park is #18 on the Mission Valley map below. For information on the other complexes in Mission Valley, click on the map to go to my web site and then click on the same map there.
Hye Park was built in 1986 and has 100 units ranging in size from 1,248 to 1,480 square feet. Floor plans range from two bedrooms and two bathrooms to three bedrooms and three bathrooms. To the best of my knowledge, all of the units have in-unit laundry hookups.
HOA fees are about $400 per month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, and exterior building and roof maintenance.
Along with its great location in central Mission Valley and central San Diego, amenities at Hey Park include swimming pool, spa, and outdoor grills.
As of August 3, 2009, there were no units for sale in Hye Park. There is one unit with a sale pending, a 1,480-SF unit with two bedrooms and three bathrooms, listed at $389,900.
Hye Park is a desirable condominium complex in Mission Valley because of its quiet, secluded location. Not very many units come on the market each year, and those that do don't last very long.
Sales for prior years:
2009 - 1 unit - $365,750
2008 - 6 units - $334,000 - $403,000
2007 - None
2006 - 3 units - $455,000 - $485,000
2005 - 5 units - $470,000 - $498,000

Hey, Don - Unfortunately, Zoey the Cool Cat doesn't do things on command. Sure would be nice if she did.
Hey, Robert - Russel and I look forward to hosting you and Nu Nu when you get down this way.
Hey, Eric - I have to give credit for how I do things to my marketing guru. He's been doing marketing for over 40 years now, and everything he does works.
Hey, Lou - Mission Valley is a fast-paced environment, so many people like the quiet, secluded location of Hye Park. Close enough to do something on the spur of the moment, but out of the way of everyone else who is also doing something on the spur of the moment.
Hey, Betina - I originally thought that going back to 2000 was excessive, but it actually shows a history of the complex which I do like.
Hey, Ann - Thanks. My marketing guru does deserve all the credit for helping me with the layout.
Hey, Debra - Our "Hyde Park" doesn't have the "D" in it, though. Fortunately, although it's pronounced "high," the college students haven't overrun it - LOL.
Hey, Al & Peggy - Maybe we could resolve the spelling issues if the North, Central, and South America would get together and create an American Union to compete with the European Union, China, and OPEC. Perhaps we'll let you have all those extraneous U's if you'll just learn how to spell check correctly - LOL.
