Only 45 minutes from Lewisburg is the beautful site of the Falling Spring Falls located in Covington, Virginia. On Saturday driving from Hot Springs, Virginia, we stopped to take photos of the Falling Spring Falls. The Falls are located in Alleghany County.
I was in awe of this beautiful and majestic site. Surrounding the Falls is just nature in its glory. The Falling Spring Falls has an elevation of 627 meters, or 2,057 feet.
The Falls were once visited by Thomas Jefferson and he ranked Falling Springs high on his list of impressive and sublime works of nature in Virginia.
If you love waterfalls, check out the web site Waterfall Picture Guide. It has great information on photo tips for waterfalls, wallpaper, waterfall posters, and waterfalls in five different states. A great website and some good information.
Have you ever seen someone rappelling down a waterfall....check it out...
Directions to Falling Spring Falls: Take Exit 16 off of I-64 onto US-220 at Covington, and follow US-220 north for 9.7 miles to the parking area on the left. There is a path that leads to the overlook near the road.
When in Virginia, visit the Falling Spring Falls, a natural wonder, and enjoy the awesome experience of nature.
