Butler's Pantry Palladium St Louis Set to Open with Landmarks Association Gala on November 7, 2009.
Gilded Age, a Lafayette Square developer, and Butler's Pantry, a local catering company, are transforming the former laundry building at City Hospital No. 1 from a decaying, vacant building to a state of the art event facility known as "Palladium St. Louis."
Built in 1937, the laundry building had languished on the edge of Lafayette Square. While Lafayette Square saw revitalization, this ancillary building on the City Hospital site remained empty. Now, restoration of this historic building is underway and the Palladium St. Louis' first event is scheduled for November 7, 2009.

Richard Nix, Jr., owner and president of Butler's Pantry, commented "A venue of this caliber will make a great addition to Saint Louis' downtown scene."
As the listing agent for the Georgian,104 residential condominium in the Main Administration Building of City Hospital No. 1, we couldn't agree more. It is a great addition to the Near Soutside neighborhood and builds on the revitalization of the area that started with the Georgiancondominium project and continues today with the new Walgreens built as a part of the Georgian Square commercial project.

Designer Mark Herman has painstakingly created a glamorous and hip venue in the new Palladium St. Louis with a modern decor and a sophisticated ambiance. When finished, Palladium St. Louis will accommodate over 700 people. Some features include:

Located near the intersection of the Truman Parkway and Park Avenue, Palladium St. Louis offers great views of Downtown St. Louis.
It is rumored that Palladium St. Louis will make its debut to the public on the evening of November 7, 2009, when it hosts the anniversary gala for Landmarks Association of St. Louis. It should be perfect night with an organization dedicated to historic preservation celebrating its anniversary in a building saved from a date with the wrecking ball.
