Every chance I get, I've been posting pictures of the creatures and critters I see in and around my house.  Some look friendly, while other's look not-so-friendly.

Here is our latest friend that we encountered.

Oscar (the dog) didn't quite know what to do with him. He was scared at first as it hopped around.  But then he put his paw out in friendly play.  Mr. Toad allowed me to snap a couple of pictures before hopping under the BBQ grill for "safety".

My friend lives in a rural area.  Her cat met a toad in the barn and she would often see them lying together. Just the unusual gouping of these two species bonding was fascinating to see.

Donna:  Mr Toad better stay under the grill... just in case Oscar thinks about using him for a volleyball or a hockey puck.  <smile>

Mr Toad must know his left side is his best side!  We have the little frogs come inside sometimes and my cats are excited to have a new friend.  For a while at least! Usually I can scoop them out to safety before the play gets out of hand.

Jo, That sounds so cute!

Ken, Toads can carry nasty diseases.

Karen Anne, I haven't seen him in a couple of days.

Richard, And I haven't even posted all of them yet... and some run off because I can get my camera.

Susan, Inside the house??  ICK!

Although I don't want to hold them or touch them, I do find toads and frogs very cute!  It must be that "prince" thing!

Donna: Just be prepared one evening when you go to water a plant he hops out of your plant, be prepared I guarantee it will happen. They love that cool soil.

Hi Donna... Compared to Mr. Scorpion, Mr. Toad is awfully cute.  How did Alyssa like him?

Midori, I thought that was the tiny geckos meaning good luck.

Sharon, They can be cute.

C & C, I used to have frogs sitting under my gutter downspout.  They jumped out every time I mowed, and then went back. They do scare you when they jump out, but no harm.

Steve, Oh yes, compared to Mr. Scorpian... Alyssa was already in bed when this happened.
