21 Comments on Wordless Wednesday-A Little Sun Even in the UK
I never have luck with sunflowers, My sister has grown some that tower over people. I just dont have the patience for a green thumb!
Even on a cloudy/rainy day, a sunflower is well named -- it does bring a brightness with it.
Cindy: Great shot and great thing for your daughter to enjoy in dreary England. Hope she'll be making it home soon.
Hi Cindy, This is a beautiful sunflower photo. Nice, bright color... thanks for sharing with us.
Wonderful picture...thanks for sharing, Cindy (and Kara)!
Nice Photos. Helps brighten the Day.

Cindy, I had no idea that sumflowers grew in the UK! They are beautiful.
Crystal-Sunflowers are just made to make you smile.
Robert-I'm lucky to have a green thumb but my daugher has learned to garden in all the crazy UK weather.
Li-they do indeed brighten up any day.
Chris Ann-I'm still mumbling the "set my daughter free" mantra. Meanwhile she gets to keep growing her flowers and veggies.
Gary-thank you for stopping by. Hope you had a great day.
Holly-Kara reads my blog so she will see your kudos on the picture.
Edward & Celia Maddox-thanks for stopping by. Sunshine isn't an issue for you in AZ!
Pat-yes the do. Of course not like the fields of them that I saw in the Lourve Valley in France.
What a great looking flower. I noticed last night the temperature in England was 72. What a nice cool temperature for summer!
I'm glad I took that picture when I did - it's been torrential downpours all last night and most of today. During a break in the weather I counted 24 butterflies in the backyard taking advantage of the meager sunshine. They seem to prefer the buddleia to the sunflowers though. ;-)
Jim-considering it is going to be in the mid-90's in DC this weekend 72 would be a treat!
Kara-just what you love, more rain! Hope you can get more great shots for the Wordless Wednesday posts :-)
Beautiful picture - I enjoy flowers very much... and the birds and butterflies they attract!
