Seattle Home Inspector has his first Macchiato!

By
Home Inspector with Charles Buell Inspections Inc.

     I know it is weird.

My first Macchiato!     I know it is even “wrong.”

I don’t even know what headed me down this strange road of denial and self abrogation.

To live in Seattle and to have never had a Latte, Cappuccino, or a Macchiato (even had to look that one up) is indeed a worthy feat----if not a little unbelievable.

I think it all started out because:

          1.  I don’t like standing in line.

          2.  I don’t like loud noises.

          3.  I don’t like standing in line listening to loud noises.  That pretty much sums it up.  I prefer my caffeine fix straightupblack----no noise----just peace and quiet----while the blood starts to course through my brain again.  An IV drip "Breakfast Blend" in a dark, private, hospital room would also work.

At any rate I was so excited the other day when the agent at my inspection brought me a Macchiato and I didn’t have to listen to the noise----plus it came with the morning paper (sports section yet)---not sure if I was supposed to read the paper during the inspection or after.

But as it turned out this Seattle Home Inspector did NOT get to veer from his Road Lattéless Traveled after all----but instead got to stay in his comfortable rut of:

Black coffee,

Peace,

----and quiet.

Upstaged again

Looks like I have been upstaged by staging again.

I so needed to laugh today.  This has been my forth fracking Monday this week and it won't be over for a few more hours.  So thanks Charles.  I love it.

Funny,

I used to be a black coffee guy in the cheap cups.  Still cannot afford to enrich those Seattle companies as often as I would like.  I go to AM/PM.

Tammy glad I could help you out---just go have a cup-o-joe and everything will be alright:)

Gene, I would NOT want you to think I am not a coffee snob because of my distain of noisy coffee---because I am.  Only organic, sustainable agriculture stuff for me:)

Charles, I'm with you and James on this one. Coffee is supposed to be black, in a mug and the firstcup must be sipped first thing in the morning in a quiet and not too bright room. Anything else is just not right.

BTW, since I hardly ever pay my husband of 27 years compliments in public I would like to share that my first cup is delivered to my bedside every morning by Mike.

Sue, I am afraid we have no chance of winning this battle with the "noisepeople":)

As an ex-noiser, I don't care if we win the battle. Sue, my husband brings me my coffee too. Black, plain, one cup, no etc's in the same mug. Kate

Never had an Amercano, but when I was in the caribe I got in the habit of a shot of expresso once a day to top of the nervous system.

Charles- I consume about 3 pots of the stuff a day.  I do add cream, but just a smigin.  It doesn't really seem to be helping the underwriters do their job, but I'm hanging on to the hope we will close before the end of the second extension.

Staging sells a house faster, so they say.  Did it make your inspection faster?

I don't even know what a Macchiato is...

Jay, this was actually one of my longer inspections---given the size---the staging was good though:)

Macciato - is very sweet. Even though I like my coffee "doctored" I usually pass on this one. Too bad you spilled - it would have been worth the experience!~

Mr Charles,

I prefer my coffee black too. That is how he-men like it and I certainly fit in that studdly category. My legion of fans hold me to the highest standards of manhood.

As far back as I can remember, all you do is order hot water.
