Hernando MS Neighborhood Parks

Hernando MS (the DeSoto County seat) has several great neighborhood parks. 

One of the newer parks is Lee's Summit Park located in the Lee's Summit neighborhood right off Monteith Rd.  This park has a paved walking trail, playground, pavillion with picnic tables, and a pond.  It is located just behind the "Wal-mart shopping center".

Conger Park located off Oak Grove Rd. in the southern portion of Hernando is one of the most well-known parks in Hernando.  I always see someone there every time I drive by.  This is also a good place to stop and take your lunch break.

There is lots of great playground equipment, a tennis court, paved walking trail, and a pavilion with picnic tables.  This is a large park with lots of running room.

Another one of Hernando's older parks is Church Park located right on Commerce Street just east of the Town Square.

This park has a newly resurfaced tennis court, playground, and a covered picnic area.

 One of the features of this park (that I haven't seen anywhere else) is a "chalk canvas".  It is a large slab of concrete that can be drawn on with sidewalk chalk.
