Madison May Summary and Current Market Conditions
Submitted by: Kimberly Grant, Huntsville Real Estate Agent
I cant believe it but here we are ready for another monthly wrap up of real estate in our area. Here are the Madison statistics for the month of May as of today June 7, 2007. I am very excited to report that there were 146 homes sold in Madison during May!!! There are some parts of the country that are really experiencing sluggish market conditions right now but Huntsville has kept a steady pace.
There were 159 homes sold in the Madison area in May 2006 so there is really no large variation this year. The average number of days on the market for the Madison area is currently 87 days. The average price of sold homes in Madison for May was $237,003 and the median price was $198,700.
I am excited as we prepare for another summer season in our area. The Madison County real estate market is very dynamic and it is being watched by observers across the country. I may be "a little" biased but I think we live in one of the best cities in the nation for a number of reasons and the current state of our real estate market is one of them.
Currently there are 742 Madison Homes for Sale. If you are interested in buying, selling, or investing in Huntsville real estate, please feel free to utilize any of the following links:
