Facebook Pages are publicly accessible minisites on Facebook that you can update - just like your personal Facebook profile - with status updates, news, links, photos, discussions and now: with your RealBird listings and home search services. If you don't have one, you can create it here in less than a minute

As opposed to your personal profile, people can fan your business page on Facebook and you can have a two-way communication with them without actually adding them as a friend (your inner circle).

For RealBird Pro customers we offer a service to embed your own featured listings posted through RealBird and also links to your  home search services. The Pro service level costs only $99/year (equals to only $8.41/month) and includes other powerful features, such as unlimited MLS compatible (unbranded) virtual tours, ad-free user experience and more.

How does this RealBird feature work?

With this new RealBird feature, you can enhance your Facebook real estate page with a new, highly visible tab called "Homes for sale". Visitors and fans to your Page can see the new photowall widget of your listings and they can also click-through to your RealBird Property Search to search all available listings in the neighborhood. Whenever you post a new listing or update one on RealBird, the photowall widget will reflect this change automatically. Only one time configuration is required. See our announcement on our RealBird Blog.

How to get it?

  1. Upgrade your RealBird membership to the Pro service level (only $99/year) - there is a link to do so right after you login to RealBird and on the listing management page. If you are already a Pro or Premium (Map-based IDX search) member, just skip this step, you are good to go.
  2. Make sure that you have a Facebook Page. This feature does not currently work for your regular Facebook Profile. You can set up a Page here
  3. There are two options:
    1. If you want us to set it up for you on your own FB Page, we charge a $50 onetime setup fee (reduced from $100 for our ActiveRain readers)
    2. If you want to add the "Homes for sales" tab to your Facebook page, just email us and we will send you the step-by-step instructions for free.
As always, should you have questions or feedback, just comment, email or call.

Thanks

Bill - Hard to believe :) You have a profile page EVERYWHERE. I guess by the time this comment is posted, you have it done already. It takes less than a minute here

Sounds like you've come up with a very useful integration with Facebook. I'm primarily a buyer's agent, but I'll see if I can come up with some creative ways to implement this.

John - Glad you like it. Actually, we have a similar solution for buyer's agents as well. I just did not want to confuse the two solutions in one post. This one is about showcasing your own listings with a highly visual photowall widget AND linkint to your RealBird Property Search or any IDX search above and bottom (channeling viewers there). The other solution is for buyer's agents. Our RealBird Property Search (PRO) - buyer's agent service - and the RealBird photowall widget can be configured to showcase listings in the large, visually impressive widget and also to link above and bottom. I will write this up in our next post and will also send you an email with details.

Can a regular facebook page be made into one of these business type pages so that you can do this or do you have to start a new business page?

Ron - There is only 2 types of user interfaces on Facebook in this context. Facebook Profile and Facebook Page. If it is a Facebook Page (no matter what type/content), than it can be used. Could you add the link in the comment or email us support@realbird.com and I let you know if it can be used.

Thanks

Those look really good. I'll have to upgrade my account on realbird. I have the basic account right now and think it's great.

Thanks Celeste ! Do you have a Facebook Page (vs. Facebook profile), once you have your featured listings entered in RealBird, we'll be able to add this widget to it.

Very interesting idea- I have wondered how I could do this.

I just signed up for real bird the other day- now if I can just find the time to sit down and figure it out and implement it.
