Reading headlines can be confusing to those looking to buy a Salt Lake Home.

Last week, depending on where you looked, you could find a headline that declared that the recession was over, or that home sales were up for the 5th month in a row, (so the drought was a thing of the past) or that the comparison between the number of homes for sale was less last month than the same month last year. I guess less inventory means we have achieved recovery.

But it's not that simple.

South Dakota is not Utah. Dallas is not Salt Lake City.
