Hi John,
The waiting period is still in play. You can not even write your contract until the 91st day. My thoughts are that this moratorium is about three years late in coming. It would actually have had some merit when the market was spiraling up. In today's market, with tens of thousands of homes sitting vacant,with values still falling, I don't see the logic in keeping "flippers" out of the market. They tend to re-hab the beat up properties, making them more appealing and less expensive to the average buyer. And now is the time we could use investors to help energize property values.
Then again, as with HVCC and H.E.R.A., the government doesn't let logic get in the way of a headline grabbing law.
