Twitter Down - Being Attacked

OK, I was just beginning to really get into this Twitter thing and this morning there was no Twitter to be found anywhere! Now, like many others I'm in Twitter withdrawal mode. Twitter has been attacked by a denial-of-service attack Attacks such as this are malicious efforts to make websites unavailable to consumers. They usually hit services such as online banks and credit card payment gateways. Now they have hit Twitter.

So guess I will have to go do something else for awhile until my Twitter can Tweet again.

When it comes back! :)

Ah! So THAT'S why I can't get in.

Thanks for letting me know . . . I had too many screens open to investigate further (haha I've got AR open with Zipform, 2 MLSs and a word program)

I've read further, apparently it's world-wide Seems to be hitting Facebook in some places too.

It's funny that a website being down has such a profound effect on peoples day to day lives. It's like missing your morning cup of joe.

I noticed some chatter about this earlier on Facebook. I was just happy to know that it wasn't just happening to me!

Hey everybody - I thought it was me too! I had rebooted the computer several times. LOL

I thought it was me too! I've not heard of a denial-of-service-attack. You learn something new every day, huh?

I just love the hackers. I wish they would just go away. But, that will not be happening any time soon.

Thanks for the update - I figured it was my blackberry having trouble connecting.
