With approx. 20 million illegal aliens the USA continues to change!

I am working on a huge commercial project on Las Vegas Blvd and there are around 10,000 different workers. Over half of them are from Mexico and I work with several of these men.

A couple of the men I work with mentioned to me with a proud voice that there are around 20 million illegal aliens in the United States, give or take a few. He also mentioned that it has been predicted by a very, very old culture in Mexico & parts of South America that most of the South West in the United States will be taken over by Hispanics, Latinos, etc. in the near future.

What is my personal opinion on this subject? And is there anything I can do to change this? Not really! Is this coming event a good or bad thing? I don't know and I really can't see it effecting me very much because of my age, unless there was a Revolution between cultures.

What is your opinion on this subject?

I know we all came from other countries but wouldn't it be more fair to bring in foreigners from many different countries then to have most of them come from south of the border?

Hmmmm. Phoenix is the same way - as I'm sure it is all over the country. I'm not wild about anybody from any country being here illegally - they should got thru the channels to be legal. With that being said I have no problem with all the different nationalities - we all came from somewhere else. My heritage was Irish and they put the Irish down for years. Not any more!

I just had this conversation with my niece.. she is learning Italian..and I asked her why she would not try to learn Spanish..and she said...she was not going to do it, because she felt forced to...because Spanish was and has become an important part of the business world..being bilingual, is a valuable asset.

Well I remember being told whites would be a minority and Hispanics would be the majority in America by 2050. It seems like the way they pour into the country like a sieve it will happen alot sooner. I would have to guess that a very high 90% are decent hard working people trying to make a better life for their families. Our country has to make some major changesl

Here we have 12% unemployment, so don't give me 'Illegals do the work americans don't want to do' line. I never bought, and moreso now

Illegal is illegal no matter what race, culture or color.

My husband and I adopted internationally. The paperwork and costs associated to bring in a foreign born orphan was too high but we waited, we filled out the paperwork, we jumped through all the hoops the government put in our way.

Was it expensive and time consuming. You bet. But we follow the laws. What happens to a society when one group is allowed to make their own laws. Nothing good.

obama, Pelosi, and the dems see the illegals as a huge voting block. They will even receive free health care under obama-care. Hospitals, doctors, and clinics should be a great source for ICE. Illegals shoud receive 6 months before deportation the 1st time caught. If they return they should get 13 months and sent to a country on a different contenent from where they came.

I think it is important to stress that just about every american welcomes immigrants to take part in what some of us take for granted. I get that where they are coming from is so much worse than what we have in the good ole US. And sadly i have to be honest and say that most immigrants work harder and for less money than their american counterparts. But I still want them to come here legally. The dem talking point that illegals do the jobs that americans will not is pure BS. That does not diminish the need for honest hard working immigrants. They are, as has always been since our countries inception, the future of the USofA.

It has been projected what within a century we will be 1 billion strong in population, I just wonder, how many of that billion came here legally.

It must also be acknowledged that the reason many non-criminal hard working immigrants come here illegally is because of how screwed up our immigration system is. That too needs to change if our country is to thrive
