The Senate has just confirmed the appointment of Sonja Sotomayor as the 111th justice of the United States Supreme Court...I had not been in favor of her confirmation, but that is history...she will be sworn in today...AND SO...It is a time to PRAY...To pray for a 'Saul to Paul' conversion for our new Supreme Court Justice...There is reason to hope in this regard, as she has had the advantage of some Catholic schooling...Hopefully some of the 'right seeds' were planted there...And by the way, Senator Specter, a close examination of history will confirm the occurrence of 'confirmation conversions'...If it were 'precedent' alone...we would still have 'legal' slavery in America...Pray confidently and with faith and conviction...!!!It is a time to CELEBRATE...that's right...in this climate of rising unemployment, sagging economy, excess government intervention and runaway spending, foreclosures, lack of consumer confidence, and erosion of family values...God is still on His throne...That's what we CELEBRATE...we walk by FAITH, not by sight...!!!It is a time to REJOICE...Lift up your eyes and look unto the heights; from there will come your assistance...Rejoice in the Lord, always; again, I say REJOICE...!!!This simple formula WILL WORK...and it doesn't require that much individual effort from any one of us...!!! This appointment is not seen as that critical through most eyes...Justice Souter who is retiring is a liberal and being replaced with Ms. Sotomayor, another 'perceived' liberal...WOW!!! Would the liberal progressives be confounded if her conversion would tip the balance of the Court...And PRAYER can do it...Marana tha...Come, Lord Jesus...!!!Are YOU WITH ME...???
Yes prayers are needed especially since the Supreme Court upset one of the big cases she was a part of as it was discriminatory. Even a little bit racist is not a good thing to be when in such a high position.
This whole process and the partisanship of it all can be traced back squarely to the Democrats. I usually do not take sides, but in this case the chickens really have come home to roost. I found nothing in her testimony or quotes when you read the whole things to find problems. So I am with you and pray that she uses good judgement . I did not see the ruler scars on her knuckles so she must have been a good student in Catholic school! Have a great day guy !.
I congratulate her and pray she will uphold the Constitution of the United States. Her "opinions" have no bearing in the law of the land.
Time will tell Fran whether this judge is a good pick or not, but the political philosophy of whom she is replacing is similar.
Rally the troops Fran! I say a ton of prayers for our country. It needs em!
Fran
I pray that the political machine can open it's eyes a bit more and see what is really going on at times. Just the opinion of a conservative farmer from Wisconsin. I will pray for her.
Bob: I'm praying specifically for her conversion...who knows...it may already have occurred...!!!
Gary: Don't be so sure of her political philosophy...she may fool a lot of people, especially as we're praying for her conversion...!!!
Greg: It takes title people to be persistent...!!! :)
Tommy: There are plenty of us conservatives around...!!! Keep praying...!!!
Thanks, Fran
Fran,
I do have hope and faith.
I love this quote!! "God is still on His throne...That's what we CELEBRATE...we walk by FAITH, not by sight...!!! "
Hey if you watch some of the Town-hall meetings happening around the country you see conversations of former Obama voters happening right before our eyes.
We must also pray for not only the conversion of Sonja Sotomayor but also for many other so call Catholics who should know better. The American Health Care Reformation
I am with you Fran, on my knees daily!!
Kenneth: Another prayer warrior added...!!!
Alice: We must storm The Throne with prayer...!!!
Thanks, Fran
I like your button, active fran the title man, it rhymes:)
I will pray for the new judge and I pray for our country every day and for our leaders to see the light. I also pray that our country will return to the Lord.
Katerina,
On this one we must keep our prayer focused...!!! Make no mistake about it, when Roe v. Wade is stricken it will allow the unborn to have a voice and our nation WILL return to God...!!! Thanks, Fran
