Huntsman World Senior Games Coming to St. George, Utah!

We've all heard of the Olympic Games, and some of us have heard of the X Games...but have you heard of the Huntsman World Senior Games? Well if you haven't, you should read on...this is great news to active seniors everywhere! October 5 - 17th, 2009...save those dates!

SunRiver St. George The series began in 1987, then called the World Senior Games, it is an international event dedicated to participants 50+ who know that enjoying and active lifestyle is the secret to happiness and longevity. In 1989 the Huntsman Corporation became the games principle sponsor; hence, the name change. In addition the the competitive events, the Huntsman World Senior Games hosts several health screening tests and volunteers provide diagnostic equipment and staffing. Band concerts, dancing and awards ceremonies are all part of the festivities adding a social atmosphere to this competitive event.

SunRiver St. George is a Bronze level sponsor of this event, as southern Utah’s premier master-planned active adult lifestyle community, it only makes sense that they would be excited to participate and be involved in the Huntsman World Senior Games. If you're an active adult, aged 50+, perhaps you should get involved too?

Sounds like a lot of fun to me. Being 51 I know that I would fall into this group now. I better start working out at something. Beautiful golf courses. I was just in Salt Lake and was amazed at how beautiful the mountains were.
