I just received the Leipers Fork Library Newsletter and there is a lot of fun things planned in the upcoming months! Here is the Library Schedule:
Pre-School & Toddler Storytime!! Tuesdays & Wedesdays @ 10:30 - I've been taking my son to these since moving to Leipers Fork 4 years ago. Not only is it A LOT of fun for the little ones, but it's a GREAT way to meet other parents in the area.
Sept 1-2: One Monkey too Many
Sept 8-9: Farmyard Fun
Sept 15-16: A Rainbow of Colors
Sept 22-23: Journey to the Moon
Sept 29-30: Day at the Zoo
Book Signing by Author Bill Peach: On Saturday Sept 19 from 11-2, Author Bill Peach will be at the library to sin his new book Politics, Preaching & Philosophy. This is sponsored by the Friends of the Leiper's Fork Library!
Primitive Weaving - The library will have a hands-on display for all to try during the month of August. Come in and try your hand at weaving! Educational & Fun!
August is NATIONAL INVENTOR'S MONTH!! The Library is holding an Inventor's Contest for Children. "Raid your closets, junk drawers, or shed and challenge yourself to Invent a Gadget. Prizes will be given for Most Useful, Silliest and Strangest gadgets. (**I'm wondering how I can keep my hubby from seeing this!!! :o) **)
Entries should be turned in by August 15, 2009.
winners will be selected on Auguest 22, 2009.
The Leiper's Fork Library also took special time to acknowledge the financial support of the Friends of the Leiper's Fork Library and their 2009 Summer Reading Program! Knowing a couple of the "friends," I just want to send out my kudos! Y'all Rock!
