Sterne Park in Littleton, CO - a Great place for an hour or the whole afternoon!

Sterne Park in Littleton Coloradois a fantastic community park that is located just blocks away from Historic Downtown Littleton.  Nestled away from the main roads, it is a quiet park but still can bustle with activity from time to time.  Part of the South Suburban parks and Recreation Department (SSPRD), Sterne Park is a great option for just about everyone.

My favorite qualities are the beautiful pond in the center of Sterne Park.  I have given my own children fishing lessons at this very park.  On these very days we have packed a picnic to enjoy or have even grilled on the grills located near the covered shelters.

The history of Littleton is evident throughout the park.  The founding family of Littleton, The Little's have a namesake creek that runs through the park.  And the towering trees, many of them cottonwoods, provide welcome shade on the hot afternoons.  And just across the street is the Historic Rose Garden War Memorial, which also honors our past.

The playground is perfect for the tiny ones and there is enough variety to appeal to all ages.

Sterne Park is a great location to consider for a family gathering or party.  Shelter rentals are available at very affordable rates both for district and non-district members.

The homes that line the park and the neighboring streets are as charming as the park itself and add additional charm to the setting.

Sterne Park is located at 5800 S Spottswood Street in Littleton.  There is a parking lot at Spottswood and Ida or you can enter on the other side at Bemis, Sheppard or Lake.  View a map here
