Shumway This Friday's did you know takes us back to the beautiful city of Kirkland, and a piece of its history.  Did you know...that in 1911 a woman by the name of Carrie Shumway (1858-1956) was elected to the Kirkland, Washington, city council. She was the first woman in the state to be elected to a city council.  Hey, it  looks like Kirkland has always been a little bit smarter than the rest!
