Tennessee Tax-Free Weekend Continues...

The Tennessee "Tax Free Weekend" continues for the second straight day. This is an excellent time to stretch your shopping dollar by not having to pay the 9.25 - 9.75% state sales tax on items such as computers, printers, back-to-school supplies and clothing. I was even out and about today scarfing up on the savings. Kinda nice to know that you hard earned dollar can buy almost 10% more...

Great idea to spur sales. My only fear is how any state can turn away revenue in a budget crisis...

We too are in our second day of the tax-free holiday. I haven't been out to the stores for fear that people will run over me.

Here in Ontario, Canada we pay a total of 12% tax, so after your "sale", you can always feel good, you just saved 2-3% from what we are paying. Oh by the way, the cost of "whatever" was probably cheaper too.

No tax free weekend for us here in NJ however...

Tax free weekend is also a great hit in our area. Sure helps folks with expenses getting the kids ready to return to school. I believe every state is hurting write now and looking for ways to increase revenue; sure glad they didnt' cut the tax free weekend.

Stores were still busy tonight. The mall even stayed open til 8 PM
