15 Comments on Speechless Sunday From Colorado - What's Red and White and Hops all over?
Debi - I tried to guess what the picture may be from your title, before actually clicking on to see what it was. I would have never suspected. What is that critter? It looks like some kind of a kangaroo rat:-)
Debi,
I'm with Myrl here. I knew it was in the kangaroo family because of the legs, but didn't know it was a Walaby. A face only another Walaby could love, I guess.
Rich
Myrl and Rich - Yes indeed, an albino walaby was born to our zoo about 3 months ago. Took this shot yesterday, they now have him out in the yard. Aw, c'mon rich! He's CUTE! LOL
Debi
I thought it was a kangaroo as well.
Debi, Colorado must have the best wildlife parks in the nation...
Debi,
That is such a nice looking albino wallaby! I was first thinking it was a kangaroo rat but learned his true name thanks to your comment. I am glad you caught him in a photo between two hops! :)
Hi Wanda - They look like little kangaroos, so it's an easy mistake to make!
Hey Paul - We have a great zoo! There are some other places in the state that are great too, and many I haven't visited yet...
Thanks Gerry - I thought he was cute too! Poor little fella...it ain't easy being different!
Debi
Hi Debi-Leave it to you my friend to find the best critters to take pics of. He is cute. Great photo as always. Have a super week. :-)
Hi Debi, something else I have never seen before! What an interesting looking character. Always something very interesting at your posts, thanks, friend.
Hi Pat! Thanks for checking him out! You have a great week too!
Hi Mary, Yes, I try not to bore you guys! LOL
Debi
I was guessing you had been on some exotic vacation! A trip to our zoo can feel like that, though, it's SUCH a great zoo! Don't remember hearing about this little guy being born, does he suffer in any way, other than maybe his eyesight, due to his coloring? His ears are precious!
Debi you have already answered my question. This is really an interesting animal and I am sure a big draw at the zoo.
Hi Cheryl - I wish!!!! I think he's doing just fine -they take good care of him!
Hi Jennifer - Yes he is - the kids LOVE him!
Debi
Debi,
That wouldn't have been my first guess, or my second or third. Great photo. :)
Steve
LOL Steve! No, I guess it wouldn't.... :)
