Hi Jennifer,  Glad to hear that sales are up--I think the median prices are lagging behind in most areas but, it's good to know that the market is moving in your area too!

Have a great week...

Jennifer--Red Hook. What an interesting name for a town! Sounds like dropping median prices is the norm in many areas as there are so many first time buyers due to the $8000 tax credit. But sales being up is a very good thing!

Jennifer if the number of sales are up this January to June from the same time period in 2008, then that is a very positive sign to me.

Hey Jennifer,

Looks like the affordabilty level is pretty good in Redhook with a $200,000 average. Now a question, so what's the photo about?

Debe - The important thing is that the market is moving.  Just read that in Brea CA the inventory is going quickly.

George - That is really a good thing.

Teri - I agree that a drop in median price has happened in most markets; but getting things sold is good overall for the economy.

George - We so love positive signs.

Lynda - Properties are much more affordable now.  The $200,000 is great for those first time buyers who want to take opportunity of the tax credit.

In my market report I try to feature a photo from the area.  This photo is of the Pavilion at the Red Hook Recreational Park.  A place where many gatherings happen each summer.
